An ode to our favorite detective in classic cocktail form.
Ingredients

- 2 oz bourbon
- 1 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
- ¾ oz simple syrup
- ½ – 1 oz Cabernet Sauvignon
- 1 egg white
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker, add the bourbon, lemon, simple, and egg white. Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. Do this without ice to emulsify the egg. This is called a dry shake.
- Then add ice and shake for another 15 seconds.
- Strain pour into a rocks glass (with or without ice). Float the cabernet by pouring it over the back of a spoon into the glass. This creates a layered effect.
- Garnish with a lemon twist.
