This world premiere opera, composed by Jennifer Higdon, is inspired by a real-life art heist. Each performance of Woman With Eyes Closed offers three possible endings. Mona discovers a mysterious suitcase filled with stolen masterpieces. She faces a dilemma: should she save the priceless paintings or protect her son, the thief? One painting, however, catches her eye. It resembles her mother, a painter who died when Mona was young.
