HARMONIOUS: A Celebratory Symphony of Cultures will take place on October 4, 2024
Get ready for a memorable evening at the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh’s annual Soiree. This year’s event is on Friday, October 4th, 2024, at The Gem on the Allegheny in Aspinwall. The theme, HARMONIOUS: A Celebratory Symphony of Cultures, promises a vibrant and immersive experience. It will showcase the rich diversity of Pittsburgh’s communities.
The evening starts with a VIP reception from 6 pm to 7 pm, featuring the melodic tunes of the Innocenti Strings string quartet. From 7 pm to 11 pm, the main event unfolds. Guests will enjoy music, food, and cultural experiences that delight the senses.
Savor fusion bites crafted by Chef Julio Peraza and Love at First Bite. Sip on locally-inspired cocktails from PA Libations. The night’s entertainment includes a musical collaboration with DJ FEMI, violinist Emmanuel, and Jason Kendall on the keys. This combination ensures a lively evening of rhythmic energy.
A highlight of the night is the Illuminate Awards. These awards honor local leaders who reflect the Council’s values of global mindedness, learning, and leadership. Awardees will be announced in September 2024.
This Soiree isn’t just an event—it reflects the World Affairs Council’s mission to connect communities through shared experiences. Funds raised will support the Council’s global learning programs. These programs reach over 1,400 community members annually in Southwestern Pennsylvania and beyond.
