Frozen Melon Gin Spritz

Description

Cantaloupe or honeydew take you to your happy place in this frozen cocktail.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 oz gin (Bluecoat or Hendricks preferred)
  • .5 oz elderflower liqueur
  • 1 oz lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 oz mint syrup
  • Splash of prosecco
  • 1 1/22 cups frozen cantaloupe balls (or honeydew)
  • Fresh mint to garnish


Instructions

  1. Pick up a melon from a local farmstand. Slice in half and scoop out the seeds. Use a melon baller to create small melon balls. Place the balls on a flat tray and freeze overnight.
  2. Combine all ingredients except prosecco in a blender. Blend until smooth. Add extra frozen melon balls to thicken the mixture, if desired.
  3. Pour 2 oz of prosecco into wine glasses and top with frozen mixture. Garnish with fresh mint
