Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 oz mezcal (Montelobos preferred)

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz fresh cucumber juice
  • 1 oz cilantro and jalapeno syrup (see below)

For the cilantro and jalapeno syrup:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar

  • Handful of fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Freeze a tray of Sauvignon Blanc ice cubes overnight. We recommend a Chilean variety for the green pepper overtones.
  2. In a blender, combine all ingredients until slushy. Serve in a wine glass garnished with a charred jalapeno and a sprig of cilantro.

  2. Bring to a boil and stir.
  3. Remove pan from stove.
  4. Add two sliced jalapenos and a handful of fresh cilantro.
  5. Let steep until room temperature.
  6. Strain into a sealable container and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
