When the weather heats up, few drinks are as refreshing as a Frozen Sauvignon Blanc Cocktail. Blended into a smooth, icy slush with bright citrus flavors and a spicy touch of jalapeno, this easy cocktail is perfect for summer gatherings, backyard barbecues, or relaxing by the pool.
You can’t imagine the flavorful qualities of this gorgeously slushy concoction until you try it. Sweet enough for the gals and spicy enough for the guys, it’s a guaranteed crowd pleaser. Pretty enough to be a perfect welcome drink, it’s versatile enough to sip all the way through your next hot dog and hamburger cookout.

Frozen Sauvignon Blanc Cocktail
- Yield: 1 Cocktail 1x
Description
Refresh on your patio with this frozen cocktail.
Ingredients
- 1 oz mezcal (Montelobos preferred)
- .5 oz orange liqueur (Bauchant preferred)
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 oz fresh cucumber juice
- 1 oz cilantro and jalapeno syrup (see below)
- 1 tray of Sauvignon Blanc
- Ice cubes
For the cilantro and jalapeno syrup:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 sliced jalapenos
- Handful of fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Freeze a tray of Sauvignon Blanc ice cubes overnight. We recommend a Chilean variety for the green pepper overtones.
- In a blender, combine all ingredients until slushy. Serve in a wine glass garnished with a charred jalapeno and a sprig of cilantro.
For the cilantro and jalapeno syrup:
- Combine 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil and stir.
- Remove pan from stove.
- Add two sliced jalapenos and a handful of fresh cilantro.
- Let steep until room temperature.
- Strain into a sealable container and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
