6408 Brownsville Road, South Park

Dorido’s is our favorite after-work spot. Always consistent, they never disappoint. All their featured dishes are at a “must-try” level, and you have to get there early because they sell out quickly. It’s a great place for a drink and a delicious meal in a relaxed setting. They’ve been around since 1966, so they know what they’re doing.

The fresh fish features here are classic with creative twists, making every meal a memorable experience. The views from Monterey Bay Fish Grotto are among the best in the city, providing a perfect backdrop for a fine dining seafood experience. Hit their lounge most Fridays for live music and full bar service.

Umi

5849 Ellsworth Avenue, Shadyside

Hands down, Umi serves the best sushi in town. The quality of their fish, the artistry of their rolls, and the overall dining experience make it an unforgettable spot for sushi lovers. If you’re looking for top-tier sushi, Umi is the place to go! Sit at the sushi bar or at a traditional tatami table and let your evening unfold.

The Original Oyster House

20 Market Square, Downtown

An honorable mention goes to The Original Oyster House, the oldest bar and restaurant in the city. It’s a historic spot, cited by the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundations, and I’ll never forget my first fried oyster sandwich here. A must-visit for seafood lovers who appreciate a taste of tradition and the central location.

Ritual House

524 William Penn Place, Downtown

Ritual House is a seafood destination that prides itself on having the freshest fish delivered daily. They feature fresh fish rituals every day and change their offerings weekly. Some standout selections include pumpkin swordfish, halibut cheeks, bluefin tuna, Maryland crabmeat, whole Florida snapper, and scallops — just to name a few.
