Giving Guide 2023: Western Pennsylvania Conservancy

Protect Wild Places and Green Spaces: It’s Our Nature!

We are college students volunteering to care for nature preserves, and middle and high school students discovering better ways to protect and study wildlife. We are neighbors gathering to plant gardens and trees. We are seniors sharing our life knowledge to improve the natural environment and combat climate change.

We are the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, a community of people dedicated to protecting and restoring Western Pennsylvania’s wild places and green spaces.

Together, we are a powerful force for local conservation — for clean water and air, for fish and wildlife, and for everyone who enjoys the beauty and restorative power of the outdoors.

Since 1932, thanks to the generous support of Conservancy members, our volunteers and staff have planted more than 105,000 trees and 130 community flower gardens in Western Pennsylvania. We’ve protected and studied wildlife, plants and habitats, restored 3,000 miles of streams, conserved 265,000 acres of land and stewarded Fallingwater, Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural masterpiece on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

We care for 41 nature preserves to keep them healthy for wildlife and accessible for all. You are welcome to relax, reflect and rejuvenate on 14,000 acres while enjoying recreation, wildlife and the natural beauty of our region. With locations in 16 counties throughout Western PA, there’s a Conservancy-owned preserve near you.

Your support can make a real difference locally for conservation – for all of us and for future generations. Plus, to help us combat climate change and other threats, you can help plant more trees and plants, protect more land for wildlife and nature to thrive, restore more rivers and streams, and help keep Fallingwater resilient and relevant.

Your donation makes you a WPC member, and your donation comes with benefits! Just a few benefits, depending on giving level, include invitations to Members Only hikes and events, discounted admissions to Fallingwater, Conserve magazine, a monthly eNewsletter and more.

Together, we can protect our region’s forests, green spaces and waterways… for wildlife, for you and for future generations. It’s our nature!
