The Pittsburgh Opera shows off their ingenuity on and off stage with their Threads of Destiny Fashion Show. This fashion show focuses on a specific production of the opera, introducing the idea that music and styling truly do go hand-in-hand. The evening held special guests, beautiful ensembles, as well as an atmosphere full of artistic passion.
Over 300 people gathered at the Bitz Opera Factory on February 24, 2025 for this sold-out, stylish event, which was full of imagination, passion, and plenty of excitement. Drawing upon the visual drama of this year’s strikingly vivid production of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly at Pittsburgh Opera, color and style were at the center of the conversation. Michael Kouri, whose line Nolan Kouri is known for bold, modern style as well as classic sophistication, was the featured designer. Acclaimed local fashion designer Kiya Tomlin, known for her versatile, comfort-driven women’s wear, then took center stage with a special pre-show presentation on the runway. Ron Booth, Izear Winfrey, and the Studio Booth team styled the models while Mindful Hospitality Group, Lucky Sign Spirits, and DiAnoia’s Eatery nourished the crowd, which donated $50,000 to support the organization.
