Meanwhile In Detroit + As It Is Silver Eye Center for Photography presents two fall exhibitions exploring the natural world close to home. Edgar Cardenas’ Meanwhile In Detroit examines everyday wildness through the lens of personal and familial relationships to the land, while Nathan Cephas’ As It Is captures the sacred, primordial essence of Pittsburgh’s green spaces through intimate landscape photography. Both exhibitions invite viewers to slow down, observe, and honor the environment in overlooked or “ordinary” spaces.
