About the Workshop:
This beginner‑friendly course explores woodworking basics in a judgment‑free environment. Using the core machines of the wood studio, students learn the lumber milling process—turning a rough‑sawn board into dimensional lumber. This fundamental skill serves as the launching pad for nearly every wood project.
Participants build familiarity with the studio space, tools, and safety considerations. You’ll leave with several sample pieces that demonstrate your new knowledge and confidence in the woodshop. This workshop is an excellent prerequisite for project‑based classes.
