About the Tour:
Where Washington Road, Castle Shannon Boulevard, and Lebanon Avenue intersect is one of the most history‑laden intersections in Mt. Lebanon.
In this 90‑minute, hardly‑any‑walking tour, we’ll start at these four corners to hear the history of Mt. Lebanon revealed in what you can see from this intersection. Then we’ll head next door to the nave of Southminster Presbyterian Church for a talk on their stained glass and famous bells. Finally, we’ll hear the history of the Mt. Lebanon Public Library and go on a behind‑the‑scenes tour there.
Meet at the History Center.
