About the Workshop:

Let’s dive deep into weaving for a week. This is a 100% beginner weaving workshop where we’ll learn to use multi‑harness floor looms to create cloth. We’ll work with 8‑harness looms and explore myriad ways of creating interlacements of warp and weft.

Because of the “intensive” format, we’ll immerse ourselves completely in the fun and magic of weaving.

What You’ll Learn:

• How to go from cones or balls of yarn to woven cloth

• How to “dress the loom” (get the yarn on the loom)

• Different techniques for interlacing yarn

• How to read drafts and patterns

• Weaving histories and other fun contexts

Goal: A woven sampler of possibilities and a foundation for future weaving work.
