Try These Bars Near Acrisure Stadium for Your Best Game Day Afterparty
Monterey Pub
1227 Monterey Street
Walking Distance from the Game: 20 minutes
This is one of those places you almost don’t want to tell other people about because it’s so good. But because TABLE cares about your wellbeing and doesn’t want you stuck with the generic, here you go. It’s one of the city’s best dive bars, with killer bar bites for a post-game meal if you didn’t want to splurge on stadium food. Plus, it has great outdoor seating and can feel cozy and lowkey while still being lively.
Modern Café
862 Western Avenue
Walking Distance from the Game: 10 minutes
A simple, classic bar experience serving shots and beer on the North Shore since 1933. It was one of the first bars in Pittsburgh after the city lifted Prohibition bans on booze, and it’s only on its third owner since then. Drink there and be grateful that we no longer live in the 1920s! Plus, it’s a woman-owned business, another thing that would have unusual in the Prohibition era.
Tequila Cowboy
380 North Shore Drive
Walking Distance from the Game: 6 minutes
Ok, we know. It’s Tequila Cowboy. The same Tequila Cowboy with the sticky floors and the rowdy Stage AE overflow crowds dancing on tables, where one person claimed they once “accidentally rode a mechanical bull.” (How does that even happen?) But why veer from a classic? If you’re going out near the stadium, there is no better North Shore haunt. Just know what you’re getting into.
Burgatory
342 North Shore Drive
Walking Distance from the Game: 2 minutes
If you’re going to go anywhere on North Shore Drive and actually have a fun after-game experience where no one is at risk of getting turned away by a bouncer, consider Burgatory. Hear us out. The boozy shakes are basically unbeatable as a decadent celebratory drink if the Steelers won. Or as a consolation to eat your feelings if they lost. Either way, Burgatory has good food, good drinks, and the space is big enough that you and your friends can all get a seat.
