Hispanic Heritage Month may be over but the celebration of culture continues thanks to the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Latin American Studies. At this celebration you can speak with informational tables, shop arts and crafts vendors, chow down on authentic eats from local restaurants, and fill the rest of your day with entertainment. Sit back and enjoy dancers from Slippery Rock University’s Colombian Dance Ensemble, join in on karaoke hours, hear from Pitt’s Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble, and even help break open a handmade piñata. In case you can’t make it out to the festival, you can honor these cultures any time of year at Pittsburgh’s Latin and Caribbean restaurants.
