Grab a Drink at One of Lilith Bartender Jennifer Parks’ Favorite Pittsburgh Bars

The hardest part about heading out for a nightcap, happy hour, or beyond is choosing what bar to go to. Living in Pittsburgh means there’s a bar every couple of blocks, leaving a long list of options to choose from. To narrow the playing field, we asked Lilith bartender Jennifer Parks to give us five of her favorite spots to grab a drink. Her list may even introduce you to a bar you’re unfamiliar with.

5 Pittsburgh Bar Picks From Bartender Jennifer Parks at Lilith

For me I don’t get out as often as I used to. Between having my daughter and moving to the suburbs after two decades in the East End, I’ve been busy. So, when I do I make sure to hit up my favorites.

Kelly’s Bar and Lounge

First and always is Kelly’s. And I always order a Negroni. Whether I’m alone at the bar, in a booth with friends, or smoking sneaky cigarettes with coworkers on the patio, Kelly’s, hands down, is my favorite place to grab a drink.

Dish Osteria and Bar

I love Dish so much. I will always start with the Dirty Dish Martini. Then, I’ll order a glass of wine to go along with my dinner.

Allegheny Wine Mixer

Genuinely, I’m going for whatever high acid white Sean recommends.

40 North (An Honorable Mention)

No longer with us but sorely missed is 40 North. I still dream about their house martini. (Hi Beth! Can we get those specs?)

At Home

And last but not least is my house. I have what I like in stock and I can have a drink in my pajamas with my favorite people in the world. Plus my cats are there, too!
