As the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm! And every early bird we know needs breakfast. Café Momentum’s Chef Robert Carter helps the early risers among us by sharing his Pittsburgh breakfast recommendations.
Chef Robert’s Best Breakfast Spots in Pittsburgh
Lincoln’s P&G Diner
I really enjoy the unique pancakes at Pamela’s, and my favorite place to have them is in Millvale at Lincoln’s P&G Diner. I always have to get the Big Lincoln. That includes two eggs, your choice of breakfast meat; Lyonnaise potatoes, and a short stack of Pamela’s pancakes. As a black coffee drinker, the bottomless refills are also much appreciated. The working Lincoln Pharmacy is an added bonus to the experience.
Nancy’s Revival
Pittsburgh’s bikeability is something my family and I truly appreciate, and we often take advantage of the trails at Frick Park in the morning. After a refreshing ride, we frequently head to Nancy’s Revival in Wilkinsburg. It’s our go-to spot for delicious biscuits and gravy, which are truly outstanding.
61B Café
Another favorite is 61B Café. When I lived in Swissvale, I stopped at 61B Cafe for a quick espresso and a breakfast sandwich. I’d always get the breakfast sandwich on a croissant, and their toasted bagel with extra cream cheese was also a regular order.
