Calling all yinzers! Get ready to celebrate your Pittsburgh pride at Yinzerfest 2024, a four-day extravaganza taking place from April 25-28. This first-of-its-kind festival promises an unforgettable experience that captures the true essence of the Steel City.
Yinzerfest is all about Pittsburgh in every way, shape, and form. It features local musicians, comedians, food trucks, shopping vendors, sports legends, and much more. Plus, its located conveniently Downtown at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
So what are you waiting for? Put on that black and gold jersey and head out on the ultimate Pittsburgh family adventure.
Immerse Yourself in Pittsburgh’s Culinary Delights
Yinzerfest is a haven for foodies. Embark on a delicious journey through the flavors that define Pittsburgh. You’ll munch on pierogies, Pittsburgh-style sandwiches (of course featuring french fries and coleslaw on top), and even Isaly’s Chipped Chopped Ham. Plus, stop by the Don’s Appliances Chef’s Stage to see demonstrations and recipes from some of the top chefs in the area such as Executive Chef Ed Smith from Ritual House.
A Celebration of Local Talent
The soundtrack to this celebration is pure Pittsburgh from start to finish. The festival boasts a lineup of talented local musicians, from beloved classic Pittsburgh singers like Joe Grushecky to newer acts like Amanda James. Or, if music isn’t quite your thing, catch a side-splitting comedy show sponsored by Slapsticks Comedy Club instead. Each day will consist of an early and late showing. The early shows feature over 5 comedians, while the later shows consist of a headliner, feature, and emcee. You won’t want to miss seeing comedians Matt Light, David Kaye, Tracie Jayne, and Matty Malloy live.
Show Your Yinzer Spirit
This festival isn’t just about food and entertainment though. Meet some of your favorite home team sports stars for autographs and to purchase exclusive memorabilia. If sports aren’t your thing, you can still explore the marketplace and discover a treasure trove of unique, locally-made products. Over 100 vendors will help you find the perfect memento to commemorate your Yinzerfest experience, whether it’s steel-inspired artwork, handcrafted jewelry, or other keepsakes.
Made for Families
Since kids 12 and younger get into Yinzerfest for free, it’s the perfect weekend family activity. Your kids will have a blast with interactive activities and kid-friendly delicious treats. It gives an opportunity for parents and kids to relax side by side while creating lasting memories with their loved ones.
