For 15 years, the Wilkinsburg Community Development Corporation (WCDC) has worked to spur economic development in Wilkinsburg.
The WCDC envisions Wilkinsburg will be a prosperous, healthy, and inclusive community regarded for its strong business district and neighborhoods, historic charm, convenient location, desirable quality of life, and community pride.
To achieve this vision, the WCDC creates a collaborative community culture by partnering with residents, business owners, and property owners to address the borough’s most pressing needs.
The WCDC prioritizes these needs through four program areas:
- Business Resources: From technical support and educational workshops to grants and rent rebates, the WCDC helps entrepreneurs at all stages achieve their business goals.
- Vacant Property and Housing: The WCDC supports community members looking to address vacant property issues in their neighborhoods, tackle blight, and make critical home repairs so they can age in place.
- Commercial Development: In addition to managing key commercial development projects, the WCDC supports people looking to invest in Wilkinsburg’s business district.
- Community Initiatives: The WCDC regularly hosts events and activities to engage the business community, support youth, share resources, and bring people together.
This work is only made possible through public support and generous donations from people like you. Get involved with Wilkinsburg Community Development Corporation and give today at wilkinsburgcdc.org/donate.
