Pittsburgh Events Happening November 10-16

Here or There

Combine a day at the museum with a trip to the movies through Carnegie’s film series. In this collective workshop you’ll learn the art of experimental film manipulation facilitated by Pittsburgh Sound + Image. Plus, you’ll get to see your creations come to life on screen and view the film Park Lanes (2015) after the experience.

Winter Wonderland
November 14, The Westmoreland Museum of Art
Be one of the first to check out the opening of The Westmoreland Museum of Art’s Winter Lights program for the holidays. This magical evening features sparkling outdoor light displays, live performances, and interactive demonstrations. Fellow Travelers
November 14-16, Byham Theater
Pittsburgh Opera presents Fellow Travelers, a contemporary classic musical drama based on the 2007 novel of the same name. Set in Washington, D.C. during the 1950s McCarthy era, this gut-wrenching story follows the relationship between college graduate Timothy Laughlin and State Department official Hawkins Fuller.

The Whiskey Smash
November 15, West Overton Village and Museum
West Overton Village’s premier celebration dedicated to Pennsylvania rye whiskey is back! Staff transform this historic 1859 distillery building into a tasting room where distilleries from across the state offer samples. Attendees will also enjoy a meal from Mission BBQ, try the event’s signature Whiskey Smash cocktail, and explore the Pennsylvania Whiskey Heritage Center with the largest publicly accessible collection of Pennsylvania whiskey artifacts.

Steelers Watch Party Series
November 16, Pittsburgh Brewing Company Tap Room
Pittsburgh Brewing Company keeps the black-and-gold spirit alive all season long at the Tap Room.
