Croissants and pastries from a French bakery are like a gift for your taste buds, especially when freshly baked. But, have you ever had a French-Asian fusion from a South Korean style bakery? Tous les Jours is a chain known for its innovative Korean takes on classic French pastries and their latest location opened at the end of February in Pittsburgh. Instead of traditional bread, Tous les Jours carries a Blueberry Cream Cheese Bread that’s airy inside and perfectly baked outside. And that’s just the beginning of what the store has to offer.
An Opening in Pittsburgh
Tucked away in East Liberty, Tous les Jours is already making quite the name for themselves. All of their baked goods are made fresh every day and they also serve various coffees and teas for your morning commute. Their menu ranges from breads and cakes to sandwiches and pasties, each filled with options to choose from.
Familiar Favorites into Asian Fusions
If you’re looking for something that’s familiar, their Strawberry Croissant is full of fresh-made cream and strawberries all in a crusty pastry. It’s a refreshing bite that’s a little sweet without being too overbearing.
Or, for something sweeter, their slices of Cloud Cake are light and airy with a punch of flavor. The Orange Cream Cake takes soft orange-flavored layers and combines them with an orange filling and icing. The Blueberry and Green Tea cakes are similar but without a distinctive filling.
Beyond the Food
Coffee and tea fans alike will be happy to hear that the options on both menus have something for everyone. Lovers of lattes can enjoy a Lavender Latte while those who skip the milk can get a Cafe Americano instead. Even the teas include hot and cold varieties of Honey Lavender Matcha, Matcha, Ube, Black, Green, and Chamomile.
Now that the bakery is officially open you can stop in and taste these delights for yourself. Just don’t be afraid to try something new, everything you see in the case is absolutely mouthwatering and the staff will be happy to assist you in picking something out.
