Two class types are offered for all ages and experience levels. Classes explore traditional dances from various West African regions. Some classes feature live drumming accompaniment.

Community Classes are geared toward beginner levels of all ages with a focus on fitness. Let loose, soak in the cultural enrichment, and enjoy the stress relief of lively and liberating West African dance.

Company Classes with Balafon members provide intermediate/advanced dancers with intensive training in choreography while learning the cultural significance behind the rhythms, building musicality, and authentic embodied expression.
