About the Workshop:

Join us at Grow Pittsburgh’s Garden Resource Center to learn how to fertilize garden soil for the coming growing year. Healthy soil means healthy, delicious vegetables.

Topics include:

• Different fertilizer options

• How to use compost

• Managing soil pH

• Interpreting a soil test

• Developing a fertilizer strategy

You’ll also learn how to use the certified organic fertilizers available at the Garden Resource Center.

Logistics:

Parking: Limited on‑street parking on Putnam St.

Transit: Bus routes 82 and 71D

Accessibility: Site is accessible by sidewalk to the entrance. Paths inside are uneven and grassy.

Restroom: One standard porta‑john

Drinking water: Bring a water bottle.
