Celebrate the harvest season and honor International Underground Railroad Month at the annual Freedom Harvest Celebration in Frick Park. Gather in the From Slavery to Freedom Garden to enjoy live music, local food, and family-friendly activities.
The afternoon includes garden tours that highlight crops used by freedom seekers, plus an eclectic mix of international flavors from Pittsburgh’s neighborhood eateries. On stage, local musicians will bring a vibrant blend of jazz, hip-hop, and reggae to the solar-powered Zero Fossil Stage. Kids and families can also enjoy face painting, games, and fall-themed activities with community partners and naturalists.
This event is a celebration of freedom, unity, and community—a chance to connect, learn, and enjoy the season together.
