As is the tradition of Downtown Pittsburgh, the annual Highmark Light Up Night returns to the city the Saturday before Thanksgiving to make the city glow for the holidays. Stop by the Peoples Gas Holiday Market to shop knick-knacks from all around the world or head over to The Rink at PPG Place to get some ice skating in. Then, travel to different parts of Downtown to see Christmas trees light up in all their glory, catch live music from national acts, and even have the kiddos get in on the fun with kids’ activities. Not to mention, the night culminates in a fantastical fireworks display and bridge party.
