About the Event: Join Now What at Creative Chem Co for a Sip and Sketch evening. See some of the work Now What has been up to, with paper on the tables and pre‑folded zines with plenty of drawing materials for anyone interested in participating. The event also features the debut screening of Miniatura, an animated short directed by Oscar‑winning local Wendy Willis (Executive in Charge of Production for 2019’s Hair Love). The film is based on the artwork from her book Of Tigers and Time Bandits and is a parody about the high cost of eldercare. Most of the Miniatura crew was Pittsburgh‑based, and they’ll be talking about the making of the short. A fun, silly, and informative early evening for all ages.Â
