Join changemakers from across the country for Owning Our Future, a four-day national symposium dedicated to reimagining equitable, BIPOC-owned cultural spaces. Presented by the Kelly Strayhorn Theater and guided by the theme “Owning Our Future. Thriving Where We Live,” this dynamic gathering features powerhouse keynotes from Lisa Yancey, Shyla Spicer, and Andy Shallal; panels on transformative practices and radical financial models; and performances curated by Front & Center.
Additional programming includes Adrian Jones’s Looking Glass AR installation, a neighborhood tour led by Terri Baltimore, and a screening of Chris Ivey’s East of Liberty with a post-film discussion. Events span thought leadership, the arts, urban planning, and community activism, creating space for bold conversations and collaborative solutions.
