About the Tour:

The acclaimed Shadyside House Tour returns this fall. It invites the public inside a curated collection of Shadyside homes. The tour showcases everything from grand, historic residences to beautifully updated spaces that reflect the neighborhood’s enduring style and evolving character.

Shadyside’s architecture has long told Pittsburgh’s story. In past tours, guests have stepped into late-1800s homes built for prominent industrial-era leaders. They have explored libraries with intricate woodwork and marble fireplaces. Additionally, visitors discovered music rooms tucked behind pocket doors. They have also seen modern upgrades—like solar installations and refreshed kitchens—integrated into historic footprints.

The 2026 tour brings that same “only-in-Shadyside” mix: craftsmanship, creativity, and the lived-in warmth that makes these homes feel both remarkable and real.
