October 24 and 25, South Park and Hartwood Acres Park
October 31 isn’t the only day for kids to get free candy. In fact, many parks and businesses throughout Pittsburgh host trick or treating, or in this case, trunk or treating so that all kids have a chance to dress up and take home candy. This weekend, you’ll have two opportunities to fill up those pumpkin buckets at South Park and Hartwood Acres Park. Both days encourage you to deck out your car and yourself for a walk through the park, collecting candy. Even if you don’t have any little ones to bring along, you can always sign up to pass out candy on Allegheny County’s website. It’s the perfect opportunity for those who may live alone or away from residential spaces to get involved in the holiday fun.
It’s not the only chance you have for family-friendly Halloween fun either. There are events going on all month long that bring the spooky festivities to all ages.
