Pittsburgh Events Happening August 3-9
Hands on History Day Camp
August 3-7, Meeting House at Bradford House
Children who have completed grades 3, 4, 5, or 6 can find out what late 18th century living is like at Bradford House, a part of the Pennsylvania frontier. Kiddos will delve into the 1790s with crafts, games, food, music, period-clothing dress-up, lessons, tours of the museums, and chances to examine artifacts alongside demonstrators and professional reenactors.
Pirates Fireworks Paddle
August 7, Venture Outdoors Downtown Dock
This is your second to last chance for 2026 to paddle on the Three Rivers as the Pirates’ fireworks show goes off at PNC Park. Join Venture Outdoors in their kayaks as you set sail right near the big finale. It’s a way to see Pittsburgh like never before and gets you up close to the action without needing a ticket to the game.
Barrel & Flow Fest 2026
August 7-9, The Stacks at 3 Crossings
One of the best brewfests in the country (according to USA Today readers), Barrel & Flow is for the true craft beer lovers out there. For three days, the festival celebrates Black culture, local artists, vendors, and brewers alike. You can grab a beer from a Pittsburgh brewery before heading to the stage to check out artist demonstrations and live performances, supporting local every step of the way.Â
Rock, Reggae & Relief 2026
August 8, Downtown
The Piatt Family Foundation continues the generosity of Rock, Reggae & Relief by supporting Café Momentum through this year’s festival. Stop Downtown to join the party through general admission or VIP access with a day full of live music from nine different artists. Then, head through Market Square for vendors, art, food, and drink.
Brookline Breezefest
August 8, Brookline Boulevard
The annual street fest on Brookline Boulevard is back! From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. walk up and down the boulevard to find live music, free kids activities, over 70 local craft vendors, your favorite street festival foods, a vintage car cruise, and even a Brookline Breeze 5K road race earlier in the day. Volunteers are also more than welcome to contact the festival to help.
