Giving Guide 2023: Sojourner House

As a longstanding pillar of support within the East Liberty community, Sojourner House and Sojourner House MOMS have been providing compassionate residential recovery services to women and their children for over 30 years. We have seen lives transformed and families united through our commitment to helping families continue their recovery journey by promoting long-term sobriety, mental health stability and self-sufficiency.

Meet Robin

Robin was honored to share some of her journey.

“There is no other program like this. I was hesitant to go back into long-term treatment, but the staff helped piece me back together. They helped restore my health and sense of sanity.”

Robin appreciates the sense of independence and stability provided while helping her form consistent routines and prepare for the future. Her morning routine is the best part of her day.

Being able to keep your children with you and not being separated from them, sets the program apart for Robin.

Robin is looking forward to obtaining a healthy after care program and a strong, stable environment to return to when she completes the program.

Robin is one of the over 1000 mothers that have entered into Sojourner House since 1991. On the horizon, Sojourner House has identified the need for a robust Aftercare Program that removes barriers to sustain healthy living. Your support is essential to help expand programs that prevent relapse and promotes health and well-being. Consider donating in Robin’s honor today.
