Mediterra Cafe

Sewickley, Mount Lebanon, Lawrenceville

It’s back! Mediterra Cafe’s Fish Sandwich stuffed with Icelandic cod, cabbage slaw, and tartar sauce on a challah roll is available every Friday throughout Lent. Make sure you grab one of their signature drinks like their Cereal Milk Latte and you’ve got your lunch covered.

Forma Pasta

Sewickley

They may be known for their homemade pasta but Forma Pasta is making a new name for themselves with their Lent fish fry platter. A huge piece of fried fish sits across a plate accompanied by fresh french fries, coleslaw, a side salad, and a healthy helping of tartar sauce.

Nanban

Lawrenceville

This fish sandwich with Asian influences is not to be missed. Nanban has added a yuzu tartar to accompany their fried fish sandwich that adds a little bit of spice to the usual fare. Plus, with waffle fries, coleslaw, and marinated pickles on the platter, it’s a feast for your Friday.

Brick Shop

Lawrenceville

It’s a fish fry Friday celebration each week throughout Lent at Brick Shop. Order their fish sandwich on a hoagie roll with a long strip of fried fish, lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce. Served beside a bed of fries, catch it from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Friday.

It’s not just fried fish sandwiches at Bistro to Go on Fridays during the Lent season. Besides their Baked Panko-Breaded Cod Sandwich, you can also order pan-fried Salmon Croquettes along with the Friday Soup of the Day for something different.

Alta Via Pizzeria

Bakery Square

Enjoy a double, thick, fried fish filet sandwich with coleslaw and special sauce on top at Alta Via Pizzeria each Friday. But, if you’re feeling the seafood flavors any other day of the week, try their white Crab Pizza through Easter.

Bridge City Brinery

Etna

Gigantic, deep fried, extra crunchy, and super flakey. These are just a few words used to describe Bridge City Brinery’s Friday Fish Sandwich served with coleslaw, tartar sauce, and fries. You really won’t believe there’s a bun big enough to hold it together.

Pittsburgh Sandwich Society

Millvale

How does a double decker dish sandwich sound? If we have your mouth watering then you need the Big McClownFish every Friday. It’s two 4-ounce fish filets in a tall stack with American cheese, white onion, shredded lettuce, pickles, and saucy mac sauce all on a triple seed bun. It’s also comes with macaroni salad but you might be so full you’ll have to save it for later.
