Giving Guide 2024: Familylinks

Familylinks is one of the Pittsburgh area’s largest and most comprehensive human service providers. Serving the most vulnerable members of our community, Familylinks provides services in mental health, substance use, service coordination, emergency shelter, supportive housing, senior care, and more. Annually, Familylinks serves 11,000+ individuals and families throughout 24 Pennsylvania counties.

Familylinks exists to positively impact lives through integrated community, behavioral, and social programs.

Since 1984, Familylinks’ Downtown Outreach Center & Shelter (DOCS) has served as Allegheny County’s sole emergency shelter exclusively designed for young adults ages 18-25 experiencing homelessness. Serving 100+ individuals annually, this program offers more than just a safe haven from the dangers of the streets; it is a place where young adults can build the foundations of a healthy and independent life.

Readers can support Familylinks by visiting the Get Involved section of our website at familylinks.org. There, you will find upcoming events, items needed, and volunteer opportunities. You can also make a donation at familylinks.org/donate.

Donations to Familylinks directly benefit vulnerable members of our community. These individuals range from children to seniors, in a variety of neighborhoods, income groups and beliefs. They all have one thing in common – when they turn to Familylinks in their time of need, we are here for them.
