As President and CEO of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh (JCC), one of the region’s largest and most dynamic community service organizations, Jason Kunzman is often at the Head of the Table. But leadership, for Kunzman, is just as likely to unfold on the fitness floor of the JCC’s newly renovated wellness center, over lunch with seniors in the bustling JCafé, or in intimate Fireside Chats with staff. Two years into his tenure, Kunzman leads with presence and purpose.
President and CEO Jason Kunzman Brings a New Era to the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh (JCC)
“I am passionate about the JCC and about fulfilling our mission to serve the community,” he says. “I am happiest when our spaces are alive with people—each interaction reflecting our commitment to creating meaningful, joyous experiences for everyone who walks through our doors.”

In a time of rapid change, Kunzman fosters a resilient and nimble organizational culture that is deeply connected to JCC’s values. Under his leadership, the JCC delivers exceptional programs and services while thoughtfully preparing for the future. Kunzman’s approach honors tradition, embraces innovation, and continually asks how a community anchor can evolve, without losing sight of what matters most.
In our HEAD OF THE TABLE series, we spotlight innovative trailblazers who not only deliver exceptional goods and services but also build meaningful relationships within their communities. Whether it’s a design company transforming local homes, a jeweler bringing sparkle to our lives, or a duo of dentists helping us look our best, these folks deserve a seat at the head of our table and yours. We hope their stories both inspire you, and remind us all what makes Pittsburgh truly special.
