A Day Like No Other: The 43rd Annual Family House Polo Match Returns to Hartwood Acres

There are few days on the Pittsburgh calendar quite like the Annual Family House Polo Match. The smell of fresh grass in the air, the thunder of hooves across a sun-drenched field. The laughter of families spread across tailgate parties and activities. And the unmistakable energy of a community coming together for something truly meaningful. On Saturday, September 12, 2026, that day returns.

A Pittsburgh Tradition Over Four Decades in the Making

For 42 years, the Family House Polo Match has been one of Pittsburgh’s most beloved community traditions. The event draws more than 3,000 attendees each year. Last year’s event raised more than $250,000 in support of Family House’s mission to provide a warm, welcoming “home away from home” for patients and families traveling to Pittsburgh for critical medical care. Every ticket purchased and every dollar donated ensures that no family has to face a medical crisis without a safe, comfortable place to call home.

A Full Day of Fun for Everyone

At halftime, join fellow spectators for one of the event’s most cherished traditions: the Divot Stomp at 2:15 p.m., where attendees are invited onto the field to press the turf back into place. It’s a tradition as fun as it is iconic.

Beyond the field, the day is packed with incredible experiences, including the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Car Show, boutique shopping, pony rides and children’s activities, a lively Food Truck Garden, live music, a Silent Auction, and much more!

Elevate Your Experience with the VIP Wine Tent

The 43rd Annual Family House Polo Match is more than an event. It’s a celebration of community, compassion, and the power of coming together for families navigating some of life’s most difficult moments.

This September 12th, join Family House at Hartwood Acres. Come for the polo. Stay for the memories. Give for the families who need it most.
